Potassium tert-butoxide (1.0 M in THF, 0.82 mL, 0.82 mmol) was added to tert-butyl 4-hydroxypiperidine-1-carboxylate (0.17 g, 0.82 mmol) in THF (3 mL) at 0° C. and the mixture was stirred for 10 min at 0° C. 3-Chloro-6-(2-methoxy-4-(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)phenyl)pyridazine Intermediate 2-1 (0.13 g, 0.45 mmol) was added to the reaction at 0° C. and the mixture was stirred for 1 h at RT. After evaporation under reduced pressure, the crude material was purified by silica chromatography (70 to 100% EtOAc in heptane) to give tert-butyl 4-((6-(2-methoxy-4-(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)phenyl)pyridazin-3-yl)oxy)piperidine-1-carboxylate (0.18 g, 89%) as a colorless solid.
