2-(4-Tert-butoxycarbonylmethyl-cyclohexyl)-propionic acid ethyl ester (2.46 g) obtained in Example (106a) was hydrolyzed with 1 N NaOH in the same way as in (Example 2) to obtain the title compound (1.72 g, 78%) as a colorless oil.
