3-benzenesulphonyloxymethyl-1-pentyl-4-(2-thienyl)-piperidine (14) was prepared from 3-hydroxymethyl-1-pentyl-4-(2-thienyl)piperidine (13 g), benzenesulphonyl chloride (13 ml) and triethylamine (12.5 ml) in dry toluene (100 ml) as described for (2). Yield: 20.4 g, mass spectrum (M+ 407) in accordance with proposed structure
