8.2 Grams of anhydrous aluminum chloride and 59 ml of toluene are added to the solution of 2-acetyl-5-bromo-6-methoxynaphthalene obtained in example 1, keeping the temperature at -10° C. The reaction mixture is kept under stirring at room temperature for 20 hours and then it is slowly poured into a mixture made by 200 g of crushed ice and by 75 ml of a 35% (w/v) aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid.
