Procedure

50 mg bovine serum albumin (BSA) (Fraction V, Fluka) were dissolved in pH 8.5 50 mM NaCl, 20 mM borate buffer. A solution of biotin X NHS (20 mg/200 μl anhydrous dimethylformamide) was then added, and the following steps were identical to those described for the preparation of biotinylated XO.
