Dissolve 2.5 g (0.0036 mol) of the product of Step A in 5 ml of ethanol and treat with 60 ml of 2 N HCl in diethyl ether stirring overnight. Filter the mixture and dry the residue to yield 1.35 g of the title compound, mp >300° C. Elemental analysis: Calculated, C-43.54, H-9.82, N-12.69, Cl-32.13; Found, C-43.43, H-9.60, 9.55; N-12.60, 12.62; Cl-32.30.
