Procedure

To a solution of 7.3 g (0.05 mol) of adipic acid dissolved in 100 ml of methanol, 8.5 g (0.1 mol) of piperidine was added dropwise under stirring, and the precipitate crystals were filtered and dried, to obtain a 13.3 g (yield 55.0%) of adipic acid piperidine salt (molar ratio 1:2) of white crystals.
