From aluminum chloride (5.39 g), lithium aluminum hydride (4.61 g) and 1-(1,4-dioxaspiro[4.5]dec-7-ylcarbonyl)-4-(2-pyridinyl)piperazine (40.22 g) (Step A) using the procedure of Example A, Step C is obtained 35.66 g of the title compound as an oil.
