Reaction Steps
(E)-3-(2-Hydroxy-6-(3-hydroxyphenyl)naphthalene-1-yl)-N-methylacrylamide is stirred over night with Pd(OH)2 in ethanol/THF 2/1 (1.5 ml) under a hydrogen atmosphere at RT. The reaction mixture is filtered, and the solvent is removed in vacuum on a rotary evaporator. The desired product was obtained in quantitative yield.
