A mixture comprising tert-butyl (4R)-7,10,10,11,11-pentamethyl-4-(2-methyl-1-oxo-4-phenyl-2,7-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-7-carbonyl)-6-oxo-1-phenyl-2,9-dioxa-5-aza-10-siladodecan-7-ylcarbamate (150 mg, 0.204 mmol) in DCM (5 mL) and 2M HCl in Et2O (3.05 ml, 6.11 mmol) was treated with water (0.3 mL) dropwise at room temperature. The resulting colourless solution was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo. The resulting crude was dried in the vacuum oven at RT for 3 days to afford the title compound.
