Following the procedure used to prepare 1-(5-fluoro-2-methoxy-phenyl)-3-phenyl-prop-2-yn-1-ol, 2-fluoro-6-methoxy-benzaldehyde (947 mg, 6.14 mmol) was reacted to give the title compound (1.21 g, 77%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 7.41-7.30 (m, 6H), 6.91-6.79 (m, 2H), 5.97-5.94 (m, 1H), 5.90-5.87 (d, 1H), 3.86 (s, 3H).
