Following the procedure used to prepare 1-(5-fluoro-2-methoxy-phenyl)-3-phenyl-prop-2-yn-1-ol, 2-methoxy-5-trifluoromethoxy-benzaldehyde was reacted to give the title compound as a pale yellow oil (642 mg, 99%). LCMS (Method B): RT=4.55 min, [M−H2O+H]+=305.
