Procedure
Following same procedure used to prepare 3-(4-(1-aminocyclobutyl)phenyl)-8-(2-chloroethyl)-2-phenyl-4H-pyrano[2,3-c]pyridin-4-one, tert-butyl 1-(4-(8-ethyl-4-oxo-2-phenyl-4H-pyrano[2,3-c]pyridin-3-yl)phenyl)cyclobutylcarbamate was reacted with 4 M HCl in 1,4-dioxane to give the title compound (5 mg, 62%). 1H NMR (500 MHz, CD3OD): δ 8.61 (d, 1H), 7.95 (d, 1H), 7.51-7.30 (m, 9H), 3.42-3.35 (m, 2H), 2.75-2.67 (m, 2H), 2.55-2.42 (m, 2H), 2.28-2.12 (m, 1H), 1.98-1.88 (m, 1H). 1.5 (t, 3H). LCMS (Method I): RT=4.31 min, [M+2]+=398.
