A mixture of compound (iii) (10 mg crude, 0.02 mmol) and POCl3 (0.5 mL) was stirred at 130° C. for 3 h. The mixture was concentrated under pressure to give 3-[[2-(4-bromophenyl)-5-cyclopropyl-3-(methylcarbamoyl)indazol-6-yl]methylsulfonyl-amino]propane-1-sulfonyl chloride (iv) which was used directly without purification.
