To a solution of the product of Step 2 (182 mg, 0.38 mmol) in dioxane (3.8 mL) was added hydrochloric acid 4.0 M in dioxane (0.95 mL, 3.78 mmol) and the mixture was stirred for at room temperature for 2 h. The mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to provide 170 mg (0.41 mmol, 109%) of N-{3-[2-(1-aminocyclobutyl)-1,3-thiazol-5-yl]-5-methylphenyl}-4-cyclopropylpyrimidin-2-amine hydrochloride.
