To a solution of [1-(4-Trifluoromethyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-cyclopropyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (32 mg, 0.11 mmol) in DCM (1 mL) was added TFA (500 uL). The clear solution was stirred at room temperature for overnight. Solvents were removed and the resulting materials were re-suspended in Toluene (15 mL) and concentrated down to dryness to provide the title compound 1-(4-Trifluoromethyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-cyclopropylamine as a TFA salt, m/z 192.41 [M+1]+
