[1-(5-Cyclopropyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-yl)-cyclopropyl]-carbamic acid benzyl ester (220 mg, 0.74 mmol) was dissolved in MeOH (40 mL) followed by the addition of 10% Pd/C. The solution mixture was stirred under H2 balloon for 1.5 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered through celite. The solvent was concentrated under high vacuum pump to afford 1-(5-Cyclopropyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-yl)-cyclopropylamine (120 mg, 0.73 mmol, 99.1%) as off-white solids.
