To a solution of (S)-2-{[(R)-5-(4-bromo-benzyl)-7-(3,5-dichloro-phenyl)-5-methyl-6-oxo-6,7-dihydro-5H-imidazo[1,2-a]imidazole-3-carbonyl]-amino}-propionic acid tert-butyl ester (3.0 g, 4.8 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (20 mL) was added TFA (1 mL). The reaction was allowed to stir for 30 minutes and then the solvent removed in vacuo to afford 2.2 g of (S)-2-{[(R)-5-(4-bromo-benzyl)-7-(3,5-dichloro-phenyl)-5-methyl-6-oxo-6,7-dihydro-5H-imidazo[1,2-a]imidazole-3-carbonyl]-amino}-propionic acid as a white solid, m/z 442.2 [M+]+.
