Reaction Steps
9-Isopropyl-2-nitro-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5-oxa-9-aza-benzocycloheptene (0.128 g, 0.000542 mol), 10% Palladium on Carbon (50% Wet) (0.023 g). and Methanol (0.57 mL) was shaken under an atmosphere of Hydrogen at 40 psi overnight. Filtration and conc. afforded 9-Isopropyl-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5-oxa-9-aza-benzo-cyclohepten-2-ylamine as a brown oil (109 mg, 98%). LCMS: 206.
