To a solution of benzyl (5S)-1-oxo-2-{trans-4-[(triethylsilyl)oxy]cyclohexyl}-2,7-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-7-carboxylate (2.4 g, 0.0048 mol) in methanol (10 mL, 0.2 mol) was added Pd/C, and the suspension was stirred at rt under a H2 balloon for 1.5 h. The inorganics were filtered and the filtrate was concentrated to afford the desired product.
