The compound (+)-trans-2-(4-Amino-2-chlorophenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-8-(2-hydroxymethyl-1-methylpyrrolidin-3-yl)-chromen-4-one (0.25 g, 0.6 mmol) was suspended in methanol (2 mL) and treated with ethereal HCl and the organic solvent evaporated to yield the compound, (+)-trans-2-(4-amino-2-chloro phenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-8-(2-hydroxymethyl-1-methylpyrrolidin-3-yl)-chromen-4-one hydrochloride.
