The compound, (+)-trans-2-(2-Chloro-4-methylamino-phenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-8-(2-hydroxymethyl-1-methyl-pyrrolidin-3-yl)-chromen-4-one (0.13 g, 0.3 mmol) was suspended in methanol (2 mL) and treated with ethereal HCl and the organic solvent evaporated to obtain the salt, (+)-trans-2-(2-chloro-4-methylaminophenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-8-(2-hydroxymethyl-1-methyl-pyrrolidin-3-yl)-chromen-4-one hydrochloride.
