Procedure

3,5-bis-(N,N′-bis-Boc-guanidinyl)methyl nitrobenzene (4.52 g, 6.86 mmol) was dissolved in 50 ml absolute methanol, and catalytic amount of Pd/C was added into this mixture. The mixture was stirred at room temperature under hydrogen atmosphere for four hours. The solvent was removed to give the title compound as a light yellow solid (100%).
