4.0 N HCl in 1,4-dioxane (2.0 mL) was added to solution of tert-butyl 3-(cyanomethyl)-3-[4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl]azetidine-1-carboxylate (1.68 g, 4.33 mmol) in methylene chloride (10 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight, and then concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the desired product as HCl salt which was directly used in the next step reaction without further purification. LCMS cacld. for C14H22BN4O2 (M+1)+: m/z=289.2. Found: 289.1.
