Reaction Steps

To a solution of ethyl 3-(3-(2-fluoro-2-(5-(2-fluoro-5-methoxyphenyl)-6-neopentylpyridin-2-yl)ethyl)phenyl)propanoate (90 mg) in THF (2.0 mL) and methanol (1.0 mL) was added 1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (2.0 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min. To the reaction mixture was added, at room temperature, 1N hydrochloric acid (2.0 mL), and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate.
