A reaction mixture prepared by suspending the crude product of 3-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-4-(2-methylpropoxy)benzonitrile obtained above in a mixture of 0.2 mL of acetic acid and 0.5 mL of thioacetic acid was heated at 50° C. for 14 hours under a nitrogen atmosphere. Concentration under reduced pressure was prepared to obtain a crude product of 3-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-4-(2-methylpropoxy)benzene-1-carbothioamide.
