To a solution of ((R)-1,3,3-trimethyl-butyl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (35 mg, 0.163 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (1 mL) was added TFA (0.125 mL, 1.625 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 2 h and concentrated to give the desired material which was used without further purification in the next step. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ (ppm): 7.66 (bs, 3H), 3.25 (m, 1H), 1.50 (dd, 1H), 1.38 (dd, 1H), 1.23 (d, 3H), 0.93 (s, 9H).
