To a solution of ((S)-1-methoxymethyl-3,3-dimethyl-butyl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (193 mg, 0.787 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (6 mL) was added TFA (0.606 mL, 7.87 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 2 h and concentrated to give the desired material which was used without further purification in the next step. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ (ppm): 7.83 (bs, 3H), 3.50 (m, 1H), 3.35 (m, 1H), 3.35 8s, 3H), 3.28 (m, 1H), 1.48 (dd, 1H), 1.36 (dd, 1H), 0.92 (s, 9H).
