To a solution of (1R,3S,5R)-3-(3,3-dimethyl-butylcarbamoyl)-2-aza-bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane 2-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (310 mg, 1 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (8 mL) was added TFA (0.769 mL, 10 mmol) and the solution was stirred at RT for 2 h. The crude reaction mixture was concentrated under vacuum and was used without further purification in the next step. UPLC/MS: 211.3 [M+H]+; tR (HPLC conditions b): 1.07 min.
