(S)-tert-Butyl (1-(5-((3-fluoro-4-methoxyphenyl)thio)-4-oxo-3-phenyl-3,4-dihydropyrrolo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-2-yl)ethyl)carbamate (226 mg, 0.44 mmol) was treated with a solution of hydrochloric acid in dioxane (4M, 2.2 mL, 8.8 mmol) according to the method described in Preparation 1 to obtain 293 mg (95% purity, 98% yield) of the title compound as a hydrochloride salt that was used in the following step without further purification.
