(S)-tert-Butyl (1-(5-((2-((2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)amino)phenyl)thio)-4-oxo-3-phenyl-3,4-dihydropyrrolo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-2-yl)ethyl)carbamate (432 mg, 0.79 mmol) was treated with a solution of hydrochloric acid in dioxane (4M, 3.9 mL, 15.76 mmol) according to the method described in Preparation 1 to obtain 267 mg (90% purity, 63% yield) of the title compound as a hydrochloride salt that was used in the following step without further purification.
