To a solution of Intermediate 14B (232 mg, 0.804 mmol) in DCM (2.0 mL) was added TFA (2.0 mL, 26.0 mmol). The reaction was stirred under argon at rt. After 1 h, the solvent was removed and residue was dried to give Intermediate 14 (191 mg, 100%) as tan solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, MeOD) δ 7.99 (dt, J=15.8, 1.5 Hz, 1H), 7.83 (s, 1H), 7.60 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 1H), 7.55-7.48 (m, 1H), 7.01 (t, J=54.6 Hz, 1H), 6.51 (d, J=15.8 Hz, 1H). 19F NMR (376 MHz, MEOD) δ −111.67 (s, 2F) ppm. MS (ESI) m/z: 233.1 (M+H)+.
