1.25 N HCl in methanol (57.3 μl, 71.7 μmol) was added to a solution of 8-ethyl-5-methyl-3-(2-(1-methyl-3-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)ethyl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-c]pyrimidine (24.4 mg, 71.7 μmol) in methanol (2 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h. Additional 1.25 N HCl in methanol (57.3 μl, 71.7 μmol) was added and the mixture was stirred for 15 min. The solvent was evaporated. The crude product was purified with preparative HPLC to afford the desired product (20 mg, 82%) as a white solid. MS: m/z=341.2 (M+H+)
