(S)-tert-butyl 8-methyl-4-oxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzo[b][1,4]oxazepin-3-ylcarbamate (2.50 g, 8.55 mmol, Eq: 1.00) was dissolved in dichloromethane (DCM, 10 mL) at 0° C. and TFA (10 mL) was added. The mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 1.5 h and concentrated to give the title compound (2.69 g, 103%) which was used without purification.
