N-[1-(4-cyano-3-fluoro-phenyl)-1-(3-pyridyl)-ethyl]-2-methylpropanesulfinamide (0.080 g, 0.232 mmol) was dissolved in MeOH (5 mL) and treated with 4M HCl solution in dioxane (0.58 mL, 2.32 mmol). The solution was stirred for 4 h, concentrated to dryness, and azeotroped with CH2Cl2 and Et2O to give the title compound.
