Trifluoroacetic acid (2 mL) was added to a suspension of {3-[7-chloro-thieno[3,2-b]pyridine-2-carbonyl]-3-aza-bicyclo[3.1.0]hex-6-yl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.43 g, 3.63 mmol) in CH2Cl2. After 24 h the reaction mixture was concentrated, and the resulting oil was purified on silica gel by flash column chromatography CH2Cl2/MeOH (80/20) to afford the title compound as a white solid (1.27 g, 99%). MS: 294.2/296.2 (MH+); HPLC Rf: 3.085 min.; HPLC purity: 97%.
