Procedure

A mixture of (R)-2-(1-benzyl-pyrrolidin-2-yl)-propan-2-ol (582 mg, 2.65 mmol), HOAc (3 mL), and Pd(OH)2/C (200 mg) in MeOH was shaken in a Parr bottle with H2 under 50 psi for 24 h. The reaction mixture was then filtered through celite eluting with MeOH. HCl (g) was passed through the filtrate, and the filtrate was then concentrated to afford the title compound as a gray solid (419 mg, 95%). MS: 130.1 (MH+); HPLC Rf: n.d.; HPLC purity: n.d.
