2-(4-((3-Chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2-pyridyl)-oxy)phenoxy)propanamide (3.6 g, 0.01 mole) was dissolved in 80 ml. dry toluene. Isopropyl isocyanate (2.55 g, 0.03 mole) was then added and the mixture refluxed for about 16 hours. The toluene was removed by distillation and cold hexane was added. The product precipitated as white crystals, m.p. 135°-137° C.; Yield 3.6 g; 80.7%.
