A solution of compound 5 (5.25 g, 0.014 mol) and aqueous ammonia (35% w/v, 100 ml) in ethanol (200 ml) was stirred for 1 h at room temperature. TLC analysis (dichloromethane) revealed a complete reaction. The solvent was removed in vacuo and the shite solid was recrystallised from ethanol to give colourless crystals.
