7.4 g (18.8 mmol) of 4-[1-[(pyridin-3-yl)-carbonyl]cyclopropyl]-2-nitro-N-trifluoroacetyl-N-methyl-aniline are stirred in 200 ml of 20% potassium hydroxide solution for one hour at 30° C. Then the mixture is diluted with isopropanol, the organic phase is separated off, 10.0 g of aluminium oxide are added and the resulting mixture is evaporated to dryness. The residue is chromatographed on aluminium oxide, eluting with petroleum ether/ethyl acetate (4:1 and 1:1).
