To a solution of 2-[6-[3-[4-(diphenylmethoxy) piperidino]propylamino]imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-2-yl]-2-methylpropionic acid (528 mg) in methanol (2 ml), a 2 N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide (0.47 ml) was added, followed by stirring at room temperature for 5 minutes. This solution was diluted with 2-propanol and concentrated under reduced pressure; the residue was dissolved in 2-propanol and again concentrated under reduced pressure. To this residue, 2-propanol and ethyl ether were added; the resulting powder was collected by filtration to yield the title compound (474 mg).
