The compound of Example b (1.48 g, 0.006 mol), CH2Cl2 (50 mL), ethanethiol (0.44 g, 0.007 mol), and 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyridine (0.86 g, 0.007 mol) were allowed to stir at RT overnight. The mixture was washed with 10% HCl and three times with water, dried (MgSO4), and concentrated. The crude product was purified by RC, eluting with 1:3 ethyl acetate/hexanes. The title compound was obtained as a clear oil in 61% yield.
