In a mixture solution consisting of 5 ml of ethanol and 0.1 ml of 12N HCl was dissolved 145 mg (0.40 mmol) of 4,5-dihydro-4-[3-(trifluoromethanesulfonamido)propan-1-yl]-3H-1,4,8b-triazaacenaphthylen-3-one. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure to leave 160 mg of the desired compound (100%, pale yellow solid substance).
