Procedure
In a mixture solvent consisting of 5 ml of ethanol and 0.1 ml of 12N HCl was dissolved 593 mg (1.52 mmol) of 4,5-dihydro-4-[5-(trifluoromethanesulfonamido)pentan-1-yl]-3H-1,4,8b-triazaacenaphthylene-3-one. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure to leave 650 mg of the desired compound (100%, pale yellow solid).
