Procedure
1 g (2.7 mmol) of (S)-4-amino-2(E-2-phenylethen-1-yl)-N-(3-phenylpropan-1-ol-2-yl)benzamide (intermediate 43f) was suspended in 50 ml of tetrahydrofuran and mixed with 0.25 ml (2.7 mmol) of acetic anhydride at 100° C. The mixture was stirred for 16 h. The reaction was then concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue was recrystallized from ethanol. 0.78 g (71%) of the product was obtained.
