Procedure

The title compound was synthesized as in Example 1 using p-toluidine (0.87 g, 8.1 mmol), CSI (0.85 mL, 9.8 mmol), and 3-amino-N-(3,4-difluoro-phenyl)-4-methoxy-benzamide (0.56 g, 2.0 mmol) to give 0.25 g of benzamide, N-(3,4-difluorophenyl)-4-methoxy-3-[[[[(phenylamino)carbonyl]amino]-sulfonyl]amino]-. Microanalysis: C22H20F2N4O5S; calculated: C=53.87; H=4.11; N=11.42. found: C=53.56; H=4.14; N=11.27. MS: M++1=491 Da. Mp 194-197° C.
