2β-Ethoxy-3α-hydroxy-21-morpholinoacetylthio-5α-pregnane-11,20-dione (134 mg., 0.25 mmole) was dissolved in 0.1 M hydrochloric acid (2.5 ml. 0.25 mmole) and the resulting clear solution was diluted to 13 ml. by the addition of distilled water to give a 1% aqueous solution of the title compound.
