Reaction Steps
5-(Methyl-pyridazin-4-ylmethyl-amino)-8-nitro-naphthalene-1-carbonitrile (24) was prepared in a manner analogous to that described above for the preparation of compound (10), except that compound (9) and pyridazyl amine compound (48) were used as starting materials. Compound (24) (24% yield) was isolated as a yellow foam by flash chromatography on silica, eluting CH2Cl2 :MeOH (25:1).
