Reaction Steps

1.8 g (4.10- 3 mol) of the compound obtained in Example 3 in 95° EtOH were hydrogenated under 50 bar in the presence of Raney® nickel. The catalyst was filtered off on C elite® and rinsed with hot 95° EtOH and the filtrate was evaporated under vacuum to give 1.22 g of the expected product in the form of a white solid. The product crystallized from absolute ethanol. M.p.=211° C.
