6-Bromo-2-bromomethyl-3-(tert-butyl -dimethylsilanyloxy)-5-methoxy-benzoic acid methyl ester and (R)-N-[2-mercapto-1-(3-methyl-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl)-ethyl]-acetamide were subjected in an analogous manner to the procedure described in Example 6(b) to yield (R)-2-[2-acetylamino-2-(3-methyl-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl)-ethylsulfanylmethyl]-6-bromo-3-(tert-butyl-dimethyl-silanyloxy)-5-methoxybenzoic acid methyl ester as a pale yellow oil.
